Steve Nolan
Steve carries many roles… father, husband, squisher of scary bugs. He married his wife Patricia after graduating college with a science degree, and is the somewhat exasperated father of his two children, Josh and Sarah. He often acts like a kid himself, a bit too happy to play with toys with his kids. Steve was also a Frogger champ, but is confounded by how much videogames have chanced since the 80’s. He is the head of the science department at the local college, and though he might be filled with book smarts, he tends to sometimes lack common sense.

Patty Nolan
A devoted wife and mother, Patty still wonders if she was meant to be more than a stay at home mom…

Josh Nolan
Oftentimes the straight man, Josh has had more than his share of odd adventures, usually due in part to his sister Sarah. He’s a big hockey fan, and enjoys comic books, video games and drawing. He is generally a well behaved kid, but he often enjoys pulling pranks on his family and friends.

Sarah Nolan
The girl born with no thought filter, Sarah speaks first and never asks questions later. She has boundless spirit and energy which often gets her into trouble, as well as her constant questioning of the authority of her teachers. Sarah is also a huge fan of pre-teen music idol Pretty Pop Princess.
Cassie
The Nolans’ dog, Cassie is quite old and therefore tends to just lie around all day sleeping, despite constant prodding from the family to actually do something. No one is quite sure if she doesn’t obey because she’s too old, or because she simply doesn’t want to.

Kristy Mockingbird
Josh’s friend since kindergarten, Kristy is very strong-willed, and at times, very hot-headed. She is always looking for ways to impress others, but her focus on perfection often leads to disastrous results, and can put a strain on the friendship between the two. She has a very successful older sister, which may be the cause of her drive to excel at everything.
Didi
A friend of Sarah’s who is able to look past Sarah’s outer weirdness and see the somewhat less weirdness inside. Didi is a bit sarcastic, and also has a little crush on Josh.
Spike
The local bully who enjoys tormenting others in new and exciting ways. Possibly a future corporate C.E.O.
Jessica
A college student in Steve’s classes, as well as Sarah’s babysitter.
Joe
No one knows all that much about Joe, except he’s been in college for far longer than normal. He has failed Steve’s classes many times, yet still returns year after year, probably because he just has nothing better to do. He evidently “works” at the local Greasy Burger, and might have also worked at a nearby retail store too…
