Actually, I think this draws inspiration from several different Calvin and Hobbes strips. I see snow-cone eating snowmen, picketing snowmen, and neighbor-scaring snowmen–some of the quintessential Calvin and Hobbes snowmen gags. No need to fix what isn’t broken, though; the classics are classics for a reason.
I’ve recommended this comic to people based on the similarities to Calvin & Hobbes, but there’s enough originality and twists on things others have done to keep it in a league of its own.
